RESUMEN CORTO - SHORT SUMMARY

 

 Bóxer macho de 11 años remitido al servicio de neurología con sintomatología de tetraparesia ambulatoria, obnubilación con falta de respuesta de amenaza en el ojo derecho y crisis epileptiforme hace 24 horas, siendo el examen neurológico compatible con una lesión en prosencefalo izquierdo. La resonancia magnética (RMN) reveló la presencia de una masa extra axial en el prosencéfalo siendo compatible con una proliferación vascular leptomeníngea (hamartoma) en el estudio histopatológico. El tratamiento quirúrgico y terapeútico mejoraron la sintomatología neurológica considerablemente.

Este caso es de especial interés por los hallazgos en RMN, poco descritos en malformaciones vasculares en perros, así como el seguimiento por RMN y su evolución tras la exéresis de la masa.
