Having graduated in 2004 from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), I completed a two years internship at Rof Codina Veterinary Teaching Hospital (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain) where I gained a broad spectrum of experience in small animals practice. I was employed by the University of Santiago de Compostela two and a half years as a clinician and researcher in the Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging Services, collaborating also as a teaching assistant with the Unit of Medical and Nutrition Pathology. During this period I did several externships in different European referral veterinary hospitals of UK and Italy and I finished my PhD based on the clinical, laboratory and ultrasonographic findings in dogs infected by Babesia canis. After this, I obtained a Postdoctoral grant and I moved to the UK to start an internship in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Edinburgh in 2010 and then started an ECVDI residency. I finished my residency in October 2013 and obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI) in 2014. I worked for more than three years as a full time radiologist in a private referral hospital in the south of England (Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists). I am currently head of the radiology department in a specialist referral hospital in Spain (Animal Bluecare) and working also as a consultant for ANALOGIC and several veterinary hospitals.
