Susana Canfran

DVM, PhD, Acreditada AVEPA (Anestesia y Analgesia), Dip. ECVAA EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia Servicio de Anestesiología, Departamento de Medicina y Cirugía Animal, Facultad de Veterinaria de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Susana graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2008, and gets her PhD in 2013, both in the Complutense University of Madrid. Afterwards she joined an ECVAA residency program, obtaining her Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2017. She has published several scientific and review papers related to different areas of veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia both in national and international journals, and has coauthored a Small Animals’ Anaesthesia and Analgesia Manual that was published in 2016. She has also contributed to different congresses, courses and workshops of the specialty, presenting both oral and poster communications and classes. She has done several externships in well-recognize centers, including the Experimental Unit of La Paz University Hospital in Madrid, and the Veterinary Teaching Hospitals of Liverpool, Glasgow, Ghent and Edinburgh. Currently she is full-time professor in the Anaesthesiology Service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Complutense University of Madrid.
