Jaume   Martorell 

Jaume got his DVM in 1993 by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He got a scholarship from the Catalan Government for clinical studies in wild and exotic animals at the Hospital Clínic Veterinari UAB in 1994. He worked as an exotic animal veterinarian in Mallorca from 1995 to 1999 for private veterinary clinics zoological centres and avian breeding centres and in Barcelona in 1999. In 2000 he became associate professor at the Veterinary School of UAB, being in charge of the course of Exotic Animals and head of the Exotic Animal Service at the HCV-UAB. He got his PhD in animal Surgery and Medicine in 2006, and is Diplomate of the European College of Zoological Medicine, Small Mammals. He is nowadays assistant professor at the Veterinary School UAB. Jaume has been speaker at numerous congresses, courses and workshops. He is author of many papers published in national and international journals and of member of Scientific Associations such as AVEPA, GMCAE, AEMV and AAV.
