Carlos Macias

Carlos Macías Ldo Vet DSAS(Orthopaedics) MRCVS RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery Recognized British Specialist by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in Surgery of small animals (Orthopedics and traumatology) since 2004 and currently renewed until June 2024. Licensed by the Faculty of Córdoba (1993), he trained professionally for more than 12 years in the United Kingdom, obtaining the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (1998) and Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopedics) by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (United Kingdom) in 2003. In addition to having completed more than 100 papers at national and international level, maintains an interest in clinical research, having published more than 20 scientific articles in high-impact journals (Veterinary Surgery, Veterinary Registry and Small Animal Practice Magazine among others), also highlighting chapters of the Manuals of the British Association of Small Animals in Orthopedics (2006) and Fractures (2016). With more than 15 years dedicated exclusively to his specialty, since 2006 he has worked as a specialist in orthopedics, traumatology and neurosurgery at the Bahía de Málaga Veterinary Reference Center, part of the Anicura group. His main interests are the management of complex fractures, diagnosis and treatment of lameness, arthroscopy, joint prostheses and neurosurgery.
