Accurate diagnosis of ureteral diseases in dogs and cats has improved over time, to the point that treatment of ureteral conditions is not such a rare occurence any more in veterinary medicine. In many of these diseases, conventional surgical techniques have a large role to play to successfully manage the affected patients.
