Feline panleukopenia (FPL)is the oldest known viral disease of cats. Despite the widespread availability of effective vaccines, FPL has re-emerged, especially in shelters, in many regions of the world, and remains endemic in others. This lecture will provide the latest updates on the viruses that cause disease, the significance of viral shedding in asymptomatic cats, as well as tips on diagnosis, management and prevention of disease.
