It is quite impossible to effectively manage illness- and health- in avian patients without employing basic diagnostic testing, particularly blood analysis. Both the CBC and the serum biochemistry reveal much about the patient which is otherwise imperceptible and sometimes a matter of life and death. This two-part presentation reviews the collection and handling of samples, the true meaning of individual tests, and, most importantly, what the tests mean when compared with one-another.
