Avian orthopedic surgery is a major discipline in wildlife setting as well as falconry bird or companion bird. However some cases may be more challenging than others, and misdiagnosis can lead to erroneous or unnecessary procedure. With data analysis, it is also possible to determine if a surgery is beneficial or if a conservative management would provide equal or superior prognosis. Practical examples will be exposed.
