Patients presenting with critical medical or surgical conditions frequently have electrolyte disorders present as part of their presenting disorder. This presentation will review clinical features of the most common electrolyte disorders seen in critically ill patients. It will discuss management strategies to reduce or correct electrolyte disturbances to reduce patient risk and assist in restoring health.
