Using case examples, this lecture will look at the use of both fresh frozen and stored plasma in dogs and cats. Its use in hypoproteinaemic patients, coagulopathic patients and hypotensive critical patients will be discussed, considering the evidence available. The lecture should allow you to be more confident in when to use this precious (and expensive!) resource.
