Learn how to obtain high quality images to make accurate ultrasound diagnoses. In this hands-on lab with live dogs, participants will practise locating abdominal organs with the guidance of experts. In this wet lab with Beagle dogs, the participants will learn adequate positioning and handling of the probe to optimize the evaluation of most abdominal organs. The lab is organized in stations with one dog attended by 4 participants. The main organs that will be evaluated are: liver, spleen, kidneys, adrenal glands, bladder, the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas and lymph nodes (jejunal and medial iliac), and reproductive tract. By the end of the lab, the participants should feel comfortable identifying most of the abdominal organs.
