Chronic diarrhoea is one of the most common clinical signs in small animal clinic. It is important to know the main causes to establish a proper diagnostic protocol and an appropriate treatment. This paper will review the information needed for a clinical approach allowing us to choose the most appropriate diagnostic tests for each animal and to address the treatment of the most common conditions.
