This lecture will guide the participants through the main steps of urinalysis in dogs and cats and will be focused on the microscopic examination of the unstained and stained urine sediment. In the second part, an overview of transitional cell carcinoma will be provided, in particular from the point of view of cytology and other advanced techniques (e.g. BRAF mutation) that may assist in the diagnosis.
