Pain management in cats is commonly neglected. Facial expressions of pain have been identified and validated in numerous species through the development of “grimace scales”. This lecture will introduce the Feline Grimace Scale (FGS), a novel facial-expression-based pain scoring system to recognize and guide the treatment of pain in this species. The audience will have the chance to interact with the speaker and test their knowledge in real-time.
