Interventional or open vascular surgery? Where we are and lessons learned from our human counterpart This lecture will cover the equipment, indications, respective benefits, techniques (direct repair, vascular grafts, microvascular repair…) and outcome of surgical approaches of various vascular conditions and the lessons that can be learned from the management of similar conditions in humans as well as the challenges of vascular surgery (training, postoperative thrombosis….) in companion animals.
