Guadalupe Miró Corrales

Graduate and Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid. She graduated from the European College of Veterinary Parasitologists. Professor of Animal Health at the Madrid Veterinary School (UCM). Responsible for the Infectious and Parasitic Pathology Consultation at the Madrid Veterinary Clinic Hospital. She is a founding member and President of the international group of experts on animal leishmaniasis, LEISHVET. Spanish representative in ESCCAP (European Scientific Council Companion Animal Parasites) and President of the Spanish delegation (ESCCAP Spain). Author of numerous indexed publications, books and scientific monographs related to parasitic and infectious diseases of companion animals. She has specialized in the epidemiology and control of the main vector diseases and zoonoses of companion animals. She directs the PetParasiteLab (www.petparasitelab.com) research and diagnostic laboratory at UCM. She has written numerous books and publications related to her research and teaching.
