This lecture will build on the previous one by discussing the treatment options for extrahepatic congenital portosystemic shunts in dogs and cats. We will cover medical and surgical treatment and explore the evidence base. We will discuss decision making in detail and cover some of the more difficult scenarios that can be encountered. This will enable delegates to understand the different treatments available and the rationale for their use in different scenarios.
