Martijn Beukers is a veterinary imaging specialist who graduated from veterinary school at the University of Utrecht. After graduation he worked in a referral clinic in the southern Netherlands, where he developed his interest in Diagnostic Imaging. He returned to Utrecht University to complete a residency and became a Diplomate of the European college in veterinary diagnostic imaging in 2013. After working in the Imaging Department at the Utrecht University for many years, Martijn started his own company FOCUS Veterinary Imaging. He spends most his time doing clinical work for two Evidensia referral hospitals. Also, he is a teacher for the Evidensia Academy, helping veterinarians that want to further develop themselves in the field of diagnostic imaging. Besides his clinical work he is involved in research on advanced diagnostic imaging of the canine spine and he is past-president of European Veterinary Conference ‘Voorjaarsdagen’. In his free time he likes to cook and paint.
