Degree in Veterinary Medicine by the University of Zaragoza, year 2000. Upon finishing, He moved to The Netherlands, to the University of Utrecht where he spent a year doing research in dairy cattle. On the year 2002, he moved to the UK, where he worked as Emergency Veterinarian for three years, before starting to work as first opinion veterinarian throughout the whole country working as full time Locum. On the year 2009, he qualified from the School of Economics Villanueva where he achieved a Master in Business and Administration. This School belongs to the “Universidad Complutense de Madrid”. On the year 2015 he qualified from University of Liverpool where he achieved a Certificate on Advanced Veterinary Practice, with the interest on internal medicine. He is the founder of Assis Veterinary Business Advisor (www.assisvba.es), a company dedicated to help veterinary professionals to improve their business and achieve a better life-work balance. He is the author of several books on the topics relating veterinary management “Manual Práctico de Gestión de Centros Veterinarios” (Multimedica, 2019) y “Manual de Gestión de Centros Veterinarios” (2nd edition, Servet 2020). He is the author of a blog (now available on Amazon as ebook) “Diario de un Veterinario Gestor” and is the face of veterinary management vlog in YouTube. He has been published in several magazines, both in English and Spanish and on both sides of the Atlantic. He is a known speaker on topics relating management of veterinary business, both in Spain and Latam. As achievements to the field of veterinary management it is known for developing a parameter to measure impact on social media of the veterinary clinics o to adapt the KPI´s used on clinics in the USA and UK to the realities of different countries in Spain and Latam. When is not working, his hobbies include cycling, kitesurfing and growing very hot chilies.
