Juanjo graduated from The Complutense Veterinary Faculty, Madrid, in 1995. He had his post-graduate studies in Neurology and Neurosurgery by ESAVS in Berne, Switzerland. He completed a Residency in Veterinary Neurology in 2013. Juanjo is also AVEPA certified in Neurology and Neurosurgery and is currently AVEPA´s Treasure. He is a founded partner of Hospital Veterinario Guadiamar in Sevilla, Spain. In February 2017, he joined the Neurology team at Pride Veterinary Centre, Derby-UK as a senior Neurologist and Honorary Lecturer in Veterinary Neurology, University of Nottingham. Juanjo has published different papers and three books: Practical manual of Veterinary Neurology I, II and Atlas for owner’s information; Neurology. Juanjo’s areas of clinical interest are mainly epilepsy and neurosurgery, particularly those related to brain and spinal cord neuro-oncology. He dedicates his free time to his family, friends, and passion for sports and aviation. He gained his Private Pilot License in 2006.
