Phil Padrid

Dr. Padrid graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Padrid completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at UC Davis in 1988. From 1988-1990 Dr. Padrid was a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the UC Davis School of Medicine. From 1990-2000 he served as an Associate Professor of Comparative and Molecular Medicine and Immunology at the University of Chicago. Dr Padrid is currently the Senior Regional MD for 14 specialty hospitals in the Southwest and Southern California region for Mars Veterinary Health/VCA. He is a world-renowned authority on pulmonary disease and is credited with introducing into the veterinary profession the use of inhaled medications to treat respiratory disease in dogs and cats. Dr Padrid is a frequent speaker both nationally and internationally and has been a featured speaker at ACVIM, ECVIM, ACVECC, ACVS, Western States, NAVC, Western States, NAVC, the World Veterinary Congress and international conferences in South America, Scandinavia, Eastern and Western Europe and Asia. Dr Padrid was the “official vet” for the radio show dogtalktheradioshow on NPR, and for SiriusXM radio (the Martha Stewart Channel). He retains adjunct Associate Professor status in Small Animal Medicine at the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine
