Matteo Cantatore

Matteo graduated with honours from Milan Vet School in 2006. He remained in Milan Vet School after graduation and completed a PhD in 2009. After completion of his PhD Matteo spent 6 months in small animal general practice in Milan before returning to Milan Vet School for a Fellowship during which he focused on medical and surgical oncology, upper airway diseases as well as urogenital endoscopy and surgery. In 2010 Matteo started a rotating internship at Dick White Referrals (DWR) followed by a one year surgical internship at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies of the University of Edinburgh in 2011. He then completed a three-year residency in Small Animal Surgery in the same institution. He passed the qualifying examination for the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) in 2016 and has been working in private referral hospitals in the South-West of England since then. He joined Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in 2017. Matteo is a European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery as well as an  RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.  He has a particular interest in surgical oncology, airway disease and minimally invasive surgery. Matteo continues to contribute to the profession through the provision of CPD courses, lectures and publication of scientific papers.
