Literature descriptions of salivary gland disorders in rabbits are very scarce and include spontaneous processes such as sialocele, sialectasis and neoplasia, as well as alterations induced in experimental studies. This presentation will review the anatomy of the salivary glands of rabbits and the scientific publications on alterations in these structures, and will describe the findings of several cases treated at our veterinary centre.
