The proportion of bird patients aged +40 years is increasing among avian patients. In addition to cardiovascular symptoms, the musculoskeletal system is playing an increasingly important role. Owners who have known their parrots for a very long time notice such changes, even if the symptoms are often very minor. Diagnosis and treatment are discussed.
