Cranial cruciate ligament disease represents the most significant cause of stifle related lameness in the dog. In the vast majority of cases, the syndrome begins with a partial tear of ligament that slowly progresses to a complete tear. Clinical and radiological findings, confirmation of diagnosis and optimal treatment will be discussed.
