Diabetes mellitus is a common endocrine pathology in dogs. In recent years there have been advances in understanding its causes as well as in relation to its treatment and monitoring. The tools we have today (for example, continuous glucose measurement sensors) allow us to improve patient care and better understand this disease. The latest insights on the management of diabetes mellitus will be presented from a practical point of view.
