Hyperthyroidism is one of the most common endocrinopathies in the feline species and is caused by the excessive production of thyroxine and triiodothyronine by the thyroid gland. It is important that veterinarians have all the tools of knowledge for the best management of this disease. Different treatment options, with their advantages and disadvantages will be presented for each case. More complex situations such as concurrent chronic kidney disease will be discussed.
