In 1989, attended training courses in veterinary oncology at the Vet. Teaching Hospital of Fort Collins (Colorado) and Raleigh (North Carolina). ECVS diplomate (small animal) in 1998. In 2005-2008, member of the ECVS examination committee (chair in 2008). In 2013-2016, member of the ECVS Board. In May 2006, he became a honorary member of VSSO (Vet. Society of Surgical Oncology). 2007-2010: president of the Società Italiana di Oncologia Veterinaria. Speaker in many national and international congresses and courses. Author/coauthor of several papers, both in national and international journals. Author of chapters on veterinary and surgical oncology on both Italian and English written books. Editorial board member and/or referee for several veterinary journals.
